| On May 9, 2026 at 11:16 PM, the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the westbound Route 30 Bypass in the area of mile marker 270.4 for a reported automobile accident.
Intermediate 44-1 arrived to find a single‑vehicle crash blocking the fast lane of the westbound bypass. EMS personnel immediately assessed the scene and evaluated the vehicle’s occupants for injuries. No patients required transport.
For responder and motorist safety, Rescue 44 positioned to block oncoming traffic and protect crews operating on the roadway. Rescue personnel remained on scene while the incident was investigated and until the vehicle could be removed from the travel lane.
All Westwood units cleared the scene at 12:18 AM. |
