At 1:56 PM on Monday, June 15, 2026, the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the 200 block of Mount Carmel Road in East Fallowfield Township for a report of a lawnmower on fire. Two on-duty firefighters responded to the scene and found a zero-turn mower fully involved, positioned next to a residence and creating a potential exposure risk. The crew used a trash line to quickly bring the fire under control, successfully preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby home. Modena Engine 37 also responded to the incident to provide additional support.
This incident was the third fire call for Westwood personnel within a 24-hour period. The previous night, crews responded to a fire type unknown in the unit block of Seneca Avenue in Valley Township. Shortly thereafter, units answered a call for a structure fire in the 100 block of John Stevens Drive in East Fallowfield Township. Engine 44-5 responded to all three emergencies.
