On September 22, 2026, at 8:04 AM, the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to Route 82 north of Newlinville Road in East Fallowfield Township for an auto accident. Rescue 44 and MICU 44-1 responded immediately to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle overturned. The occupant had self-extricated, but a K-9 remained trapped inside. Rescue crews used glass removal tools to open the windshield and safely retrieve the dog. Fire and EMS personnel provided assistance to the East Fallowfield Police Department with traffic control around the incident scene. Paramedics from Westwood transported one patient to a trauma center for further evaluation.
