| On Saturday, August 19th, 2006 the Fire Company attended the 2nd Annual "Valley Day" which was held on the property of the Lanchester Christian School on Airport Road in Valley Township.
Volunteers from the fire company displayed our apparatus, as well as provided information and tours of our equipment to visitors on hand.
Smoke Detectors, provided by WalMart, were distributed for free to any family who was in need of a smoke detector for their home. The Valley Police Department provided Child ID kits for children who may become lost. Many local businesses also had booths setup. A free health clinic was also provided for those in attendance.
The Valley Township Parks and Recreation Committee did an excellent job organizing and running this event.
Thanks to the volunteers who gave up their day to assist the Township, and congratulations to the Township Parks and Recreation Committee on another successful day! |
