| On Tuesday, January 29th, 2008 the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched at 0920 to a reported gas leak on Irish Lane in the Rock Run section of Valley Township.
Chief McWilliams responded and was advised that a resident was reporting an odor of gas which had been an ongoing concern for several days. The gas company had been contacted several times and responded out and located no problems.
Rescue 44 responded and when firefighters arrived they began to investigate. There was no odor of any gas when crews arrived. After speaking with the homeowner who reported the problem, the crews determined that there was no immediate danger in the area.
