| On Thursday, February 7th, 2008 our Station hosted Cub Scout Pack 75 from the Rainbow Elementary School for their weekly meeting. Lieutenant Dill and Firefighter Swick escorted the 28 energetic boys around the station and let them try on gear and explained the different functions of the units. Firefighter Axe, who has a son in the pack, and Chief Engineer Kellon also were on hand to give tours of the apparatus and equipment.
We hope that the group from Pack 75 had a good time and learned a little bit about what it takes to be a volunteer firefighter. Perhaps we will see these boys in a few years as future firefighters!
If your local interest group would like to schedule a time to come to the firehouse for a tour or fire prevention lessons, please do not hesitate to contact us utilizing our contact page. |
