| On Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 Engine 44-5 relocated to the East Whiteland Fire Company to cover for them while they were tied up running their carnival.
Just before Engine 44-5 was arriving in East Whiteland Township, East Whiteland Ambulance 5 was dispatched for a cardiac arrest on Route 30. Engine 44-5's crew heard the call and responded to assist EMS personnel. The call was found to be non-life threatening and Engine 44-5 was cancelled.
The Engine continued on to standby and cover East Whiteland for the evening. No more than 1 hour after arriving, East Whiteland was dispatched to assist the Malvern Fire Company for a reported house fire on Village Way in East Whiteland Township.
Crews from Malvern Ladder 4 arrived on location to find fire in an attached garage next to the home. Chief Brown of the East Whiteland Fire Company responded and led Engine 44-5 to the incident. Engine 44-5 was the next piece of fire apparatus to arrive on scene, and supplied Ladder 4 with water.
The fire was placed under control within 25 minutes of dispatch.
Great job to all personnel from the Main Line operating on scene in order to stop the fire from destroying the residence.
Thank you to the East Whiteland Fire Company for inviting us to protect your community so that you could concentrate on your carnival. |
