| On Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 additional photos were received from the factory where our new Ambulance is being constructed.
The photos were provided by Braun Ambulance in Van Wert, Ohio who was selected as the manufacturer for our new ambulance.
The ambulance being built will be a 2012 Ford E-450 Braun Chief XL Type III Basic Life Support unit. This vehicle was purchased due to the expansion of our ambulance service coverage area to now include West Caln Township, West Brandywine Township, and portions of Wallace and East Brandywine Townships.
Westwood Ambulance also continues to service Valley Township and a portion of East Fallowfield Township. The total coverage area for Westwood EMS now expands to 51 square miles and more than 28,800 residents.
Members of our Ambulance Specification Committee plan to travel to the factory the week of January 9th, 2012 to make a final inspection on the new unit before it returns home to Pennsylvania. |
